Stop worrying about my weight
It's just sad. 3 years ago

It’s because for 6 months of my life I was working 75 hours a week and was down to 120 pounds, and was wearing a size 4/5 jeans.. I’m 5’8. I felt so great… and after I was back to a normal lifestyle the weight came back… Before I had lost all the weight I was 135 and wore a size 9/10. Now, I wear a 7/8-9/10 and weigh 150 pounds. I’ve been working out like crazy and just completed a marathon… and when I have all these reasons to be happy with my body.. I find myself only concentrating on the cellulite on the backs of my thighs and butt. It’s ridiculous. I need to learn to let those things make me feel beautiful and feminine instead of fat and gross.

Marathon?

Listen, if you completed a marathon then you are fit! That is fantastic! The rest will come… just relax and continue the good work. :-)

Cellulite

It’s a process of making gradual changes in one’s life. What I’ve found is that cellulite is not dependent upon whether a person is thin or not, but I’m thinking it’s part due to possibly genetics, one’s dietary choices, weightlifting, skin circulation at least.

Both my mom and sister have big time cellulite and many people I know have cellulite. Some of the things I do that these people do not do are:

1) weightlift on a regular basis
2) cardio on a regular basis
3) massage therapy on regular basis
4) drink only good filtered water
5) natural, whole foods with plenty of fresh veggies, some fruit
6) minimize on whole grains, no breads or pastas
7) no refined sugars
8) meats/fish with no antibiotics, hormones

I’ve noticed that people that do these things similarly also do not have cellulite.

If you do all these things already, then maybe some genetics?

Anyway, I think accomplishing a marathon is a huge thing. You should be proud of yourself for that.

What I’ve found femininity is based on our own self-image, self-worth, and self-acceptance, but not on our accomplishments or how others feel about us.

Genetics

That’s why I left that option out there. Since it seems like the women in my family have cellulite and I don’t, I figure I either didn’t get that gene or my good habits that suit my body or a combination of both.

I haven’t eaten healthy all my life, but as an adult, I have exercised…but, then, so have you…so, genetics?
