A dear friend is leaving this week for a year in Australia. It feels like I’ll never see him again – although I know I’ll feel silly for thinking that as soon as I get the first email! But I don’t do endings and goodbyes well, and I’m really going to miss him.

I finally screwed up the courage to once again email my erstwhile best friend who dropped suddenly out of contact in January. I had called a few times to be told she wasn’t home, and sent several emails which got no response, and had given up in hurt and confusion. I know she has some problems and I want to be there for her, and I’m sad that she’s pushed me away. I miss her terribly.

At B.’s going-away party Friday, I had one of those slightly drunken but nonetheless sincere conversations where you feel like you really click with someone. T. is a relatively new addition to our group and I’d always got on well with him, so it was lovely to discover he’s a kindred spirit. :o)

And I’m having coffee again tomorrow evening with my coffee-buddy from a couple weeks ago.

so many friends – as is of course to be expected :) hope coffee goes well. Am sorry about your best friend – sounds really confusing and upsetting, especially not to know what’s going on. Friends do tend to come and go a bit – it’s cool how you found a new clicker just as your other friend leaves huh?!

I actually do, don't I?!

I tend to forget how many, just because they’re not beating the door down yelling “We love yoouuu!!” But I really am blessed. I need to work on reaching out and strengthening those friendships, instead of assuming nobody likes me quite as much as I like them.

When I wrote that

I particularly wanted to be in London because I have an awful lot of hugs to redeem with a certain moose! :o) I’m not in a rush to make any huge changes at the moment – enough is changing around me as it is. But eventually, I would like to choose where I live rather than just living wherever I find myself.
