concentrate more
information overload 4 years ago

I love the internet, but it’s too much sometimes. Between that, and a job that is focused on reacting to a large number of small, unrelated events over the course of a day, and a somewhat crowded house I rarely get a chance to really think. about anything.

I need to find a way to spend at least 3 uninterrupted hours concentrating, at least twice a week. It doesn’t even matter what I’m thinking about. It’s important for my mental health.

My last place there was surrounded by a bunch of no parks. But there’s one by my new house that is perfect for sitting and thinking. I’ve spent several of the last few sunday afternoons up there. It helps.

jason has gotten 3 cheers on this entry.
