It was an experiment in pushing my limits. Auditioning to become a cheerleader was the last thing I would have expected from myself. I had never even seen a cheerleader in action, I had never been to a football game, and I had been the kid picked last for kickball pretty much my entire life.

The punchline: I tied for the highest score at the audition, and became one of two head cheerleaders for the squad.
