shoot well in all three categories -- revolver, lever action rifle, and shotgun. (read all 10 entries…)
Finally! 2 years ago

Found a coachgun! Woo hoo! (a coachgun is a side by side, double-barrelled shotgun…it’s the one you typically see in the movies, carried by the guy “riding shotgun” on a stagecoach). I get to pick it up on 5/10/06 (damned waiting period…)

It's tough getting...

many types of firearms and accessories into California. At least they’re finally loosening up in my state.

I have a fourth to add for the list of what I want to be good at shootin’ with; my black powder guns. Actually my .50 cal. Hawkins is great. The sights on it are so right on, and when you patch it right it is so accurate. I used it to win a candle shoot (you shoot out the flame of a candle in a box at 50 yds. without touching the candle).

Next on my list...

...is a lever action carbine in .45 Colt. And wouldn’t you know it…Winchester just discontinued production! Looks like Marlin may be the least expensive alternative.

Say, that’s some mighty fine shooting with a Hawken! I have one from CVA, but I’m not nearly as proficient. I think I’d like to get an 1851 Colt Navy as my next blackpowder gun. Do you have a blackpowder revolver?

German Dragoon Pistol

It’s coming. I’m getting it with a Long Land Brown Bess from Middlesex Tading Company. http://www.middlesexvillagetrading.com/
