A long-term goal

I was once told that every person should accomplish four things to make the world a better place: Write a book, plant a tree, raise a healthy child and build a house. The last one has eluded me. It could end up being a retirement project. It does not have to be for myself.

That is an interesting concept.

I always dreamed of building my own house when I was younger—designing it maybe with an architect to make it exactly how I wanted it to be.

A book seems like a challenge.

Yes, and

raising a child is more of a challenge than writing a book. At least, it was for me. But I like challenges. “A man’s reach should exceed his grasp, else what’s a heaven for?”
