Now that I have decluttered the front and back yard, I need to paint the outside of my house. It has taken me about five months to decide on a color or theme. Finally found a color scheme that I hope will show well. Some of my family members think that I have lost my marbles but I love the idea. I want to paint my 1970’s house a glazed (for shine) dark mustard with white trim. The accent color (shutters, plant containers, benches) in a rich dark garnet. It sounds odd but I want the property to have an asian or zen feel. If I had the talent, funds and nerve, I would go for a yard like Mr Myiagi’s in the movie Karate Kid. Will post a pic when the project is complete. In order for this to be a timely goal, the completion date is June 5, 2006.
