Flowerman is going to expect a phone call from me today. I don’t want to do it. He’s just had life-changing surgery and given he’s going to be in rehab for two months learning how to walk again, I don’t feel like I can just tell him to leave me alone.

I asked CD if I could tell Flowerman that it was not appropriate to receive flowers from him because I’m getting very close to someone else. CD said he’d be happy to be that someone else.

I’m thinking I might buy some time and message Flowerman and tell him we’ll talk when he gets back from Sydney. If he wants to push the issue, then I’ll have to be mean and give it to him straight, but hopefully he’s not that masochistic.

I find it so gauche to have to express myself explicitly… Can’t people take hints??
