I’ve had lots of people compliment the photos I’ve taken since I added this as a goal in 43T. Someone has even contacted me and asked for permission to use my photos in their blog skins. I said yes, naturally, and now there’s at least 11 people out there who have my photos in their blogs.
I’m not marking this goal done yet, the pictures I’ve taken are good but I haven’t quite proven myself to myself yet, if that makes any sense.
you do have a great eye for photography. i’ve been meaning to compliment your work myself. :D
it’s so wonderful to hear people have liked my photos. My uncle, who bought me my first camera when I was 10, would be proud of me now.
Also, have you checked out Jenny π’s photos? They are great.

between the two of you, i’m torn between being photographily inspired and being filled with despair. O_o
I think you have a good eye for subjects – I love the light reflections of the first pic you posted on this goal. Have a look around the web at sites about composition and I think you’ll get some real winners.
The camera isn’t as important unless you’re hoping to blow pictures up to poster size – which will come later all being well :)
Reading about painting composition helps, too – although you don’t normally get to move things around in scenes you photograph, you can usually move yourself to more closely match the ‘ideal’ pictorial composition.
Keep it up! It does look like you have a lovely area to take your photos.
Just when I was thinking where to go next with my practising, the advise is here! :) I’ll definitely look up some information about composition, it’s been at the back of my head since I saw the above winner of the Guardian Weekend Photography Prize.

I have been slacking… I saw your comment (as you can probably guess!)... it just takes so long to work out how to write that I can’t think of anything to write about by the time I get there.
I will make an effort to blog at least weekly (on the Finnish blog). Even if I don’t say much.
any courses or are you self-taught? The good thing about the blog is that it’s yours and you can be as ambitious as you want, or play it safe and write simple things that you know are correct.
If you don’t have time to think of a complete post, just post something short and I’ll comment on it and you can see if you can thing of anything to continue the conversation!
