build a yurt

This is something I and a couple of my friends have wnated to do for a long time, to have a (possibly) nudist sustainable yurt community, that is. We almost bought some property last year do start working on.

I’ve been drawing up little ideas for yurts in AutoCAD for a coupel of years now. I’ve been trying to figure out a good, elegant, way to build a two story yurt lately. I’m thinking to do it all with rough cut pine timber, post and beam style.

I’m thinking it’d be fairly easy to build a spiral staircase from a 10” dia. log, ten feet tall or so. You could cut slots through the middle of it and stick a bunch of thick triangular planks into it for steps.

I went yurt camping this winter, it was soo cool. Not so sure I’m on down with the nudist yurt community, but I’m down with yurts in general.

Great Idea...Just thought of it myself

If you are a nudist in the Sacramento area then you probably know where Laguna is in Wilton. We have been avid nudists for a while, and visit Laguna a few times a year. Would go more often but we live in Washington State. Nudisits a wonderful friendly people. Buying maybe 20 acres or more,
(in a warm climate)and buliding a Yurt Nudist destination is very possibel and exciting. Kudos for a great idea.
