After all,I had spent 2 years learning it.

Don't stop!
I had to stop taking erhu lessons after about two years for various reasons…
And even though I never progressed to a level that showed any promise, I still miss it, and fondly think of it often.
Don’t stop playing! Long live the erhu!
Wow,it incredible!it seems that you haven’t come China,so you took erhu lessons in US?it’s amazing that people can take erhu lessons out of China.
But I haven’ touch my erhu more than one year, and even my dad had put it in the basement!hope I can play it agian until I pass my exam.:)
I always felt very lucky...
...that my instructor lived in the Chicago area. That a concert level performer would give instruction to me, in her family’s home, simply amazed me. She was wonderful.
I had fallen in love with the erhu through some recordings I have, then managed to find her in the area years later. I went to meet her and she played Kongshan Niaoyu (A Bird’s Song Echoing in the Deserted Mountains). That has always been my favorite piece. I was blown away to see it played right in front of me.
I hope you pass your exam and can play again soon. It really is a lovely instrument.
