Someone to swap tips with, to share the dreadlock journey… and to work on each other’s hair!
I placed a plea in the “strictly platonic” section of craigslist’s personals today. No responses yet.

raslalique Happy new year friends!
This is a great goal. I hope you find someone soon. Maybe you can also try online groups about dreadlocks. Yahoo has quite a few. Maybe you can find someone on one of them who lives near to you.
Thanks for the tip. The craigslist posting hasn’t turned into a goldmine so far…
but only when I’m in Minneapolis. I have good friends at the science museum there, so I should be traveling your way a few times in the next year.
You’ve just been cheer bombed!
I’m just returning the favor. Thanks!
I would totally meet a stanger and be their dreadlock buddy – if I didn’t live in ohio. Rats.
(Good Luck though.)
I saw a very good friend of mine today. She’s had natural dreads for a long time. I told her about your entry and she said she’d be happy to help you with your mane. She lives in NE. Let me know if you would like contact info.
That would be great! I don’t want to shell out at the salon for regular maintenance, but I don’t want my dreads to look like a bird’s nest either!
