I really enjoyed this book. It was what I consider an easy read because I didn’t have to think too much about a complicated plot or twists and turns in the story. It was more a book of observation, focusing on Lucy Honeychurch and how she matures into an independent woman by following her own heart, mind and judgement. This is something we can all learn from at times I think. All the supporting characters were excellent influences on Lucy and helped to tell the story well.

I was looking for a light book to read when I chose this as well as wanting to complete this goal, and it achieved both for me.
