This was 1980…skateboards were large and wooden and orange was the only real color for the wheels. Our neighborhood had sidewalks (don’t see those too much these days) and you’d be competing with other kids on roller skates. This was WAY before rollerblading came into play. Many skinned knees and elbows later, I discovered MTV, dancing and Boys….parked my skateboard in my closet and that was all she wrote.
