Congratulations! I wish my fiance spoke French! Heh, but he’s perfect anyway. Is your husband from France?

I’ve always tried to passively learn. I watch French movies and listen to French music. Yesterday I started lessons in the textbook to catch up and move on thru what I haven’t learned.

How did you hear the French in the chat rooms?

My biggest obstacle is understanding what I hear – when I read French, it makes more sense. I can piece things together. But hearing it? That’s another story.

I’ve done the same. Although mostly with music so I have yet to be Amélied-out. Thank goodness because I love that movie. =D

We should go to France together and sit among a café with our dogs and drink our no-ice bubbly water, talking about how silly the recent political move of our country was, and then recommend each other where to buy the greatest pair of shoes.
