Try not to forget those left behind by the loss of a loved one (read all 2 entries…)
In memory of Christina 1986-2005 3 years ago

Little tree,
You came into this world with your roots taken from its soil,
And placed among another terrain,
Little tree,
How you grew into what was needed and cared for with such,
Love and compassion,
Little tree,
You felt the loss when your caregiver was taken from you,
But kept blooming for that life one day.
Little tree,
Oh lil’ tree how you stood strong when the raging storms hit and hit,
Never showing how weak you felt.
Little tree,
How you wished for the love of a caregiver again,
And got that wish with a blessing from God.
Little tree,
As you reached that age of wonder and self destruction everyone said your life was over,
But you took that seed and started a life.
Little tree,
From your loving branches reached out a new life,
And once again life had meaning.
Little tree,
How you lived and loved and in one moment you were gone,
Leaving the hand of your caregiver to wonder if you’d ever return.
Little tree,
So young and beautiful you reach out to the caregiver with the eyes of your mother and the heart of his wife,
Showing him that she never left and will always be a part of his life.
