My mom and sister and I were so stupid when we got our first VCR in the 80’s, editing out all the commercials and thinking that was such a cool thing… Now you can buy old TV shows on DVD, but they don’t come with the old commercials or any of the other little things they showed before, after, and in between that I took for granted back then. I remember being scared as a kid by TV announcers saying good night and playing the national anthem, but now I kind of miss it and wish more stations still did it now.
