Just wondering…im 15 and i’ve played the violin for the last 8 years, but im a bit sick of it by now, and i’m wondering if it would be worth it to switch to the viola…any thoughts???

I played the violin for 5 or six years, before i switched, It was a good idea, i recommend it.
This depends on what you are sick of! If you just don’t like the violin as an instrument, then the viola might be a good switch for you. I played the violin before I started the viola and I would never go back.
Depth
The viola has a lot more depth than the violin, which can tend to sound kind of whiny. The violin literature also tends to get annoying after a while (with some notable exceptions). The viola is definitely worth a shot in my opinion, it’s a much more resonant instrument than the violin.
