wow. the experience is hard to put into words..first of all it took such a long time before we found the first “butanding”, so the excitement of actually seeing one built up so high by the time we sighted one. my heart was pumping when the guide yelled “get ready”. that was our signal to put our masks on. we jumped in and at first i saw nothing but blue then our guide pulled me to the right and as if it just suddenly appeared out of nowhere..the whale shark was RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! he had stopped as the guide and i were directly in its way.we were just face to face in what seemed like 2 minutes to me ( but im sure it only lasted a few seconds!) then he slowly looked down an dove underneath me..wow..what a great beautiful creature. we saw about 2 more after that..i cant wait to go back to Sorsogon to see more.
