Eleven years ago this week
My wife and I were on our third date when she told me that she wanted to grow old with me. We decided to get married then and there. It was the best decision I ever made!

Secrets?
My wife was the right person for me when I met her. There weren’t things that I wanted to change or that I hoped would change. We have the same values in that we aren’t materialistic, our politics coincide and we support each other’s dreams. I started a new career with her blessing shortly after we were married. Two years, at age 41, ago she took a big pay cut to go to school to get a degree in elementary education. I support her in that. We are also forgiving people. That’s important.
