adopt a cat from a shelter
Untitled 3 years ago

A week ago I adopted two cats from a shelter—a four year old male and a five year old female. Both of them are incredibly sweet and doing well in their new home. It was definitely worth it, for all of us. :)

you are so nice!!!!

i didn’t really believe it but getting a pet does make you more relaxed and happy person! (not to say that you arent, but… you know… makes you love life more)

so what are their names? how old are they?

:D

Their names are Bradford and Bernadette (Bernie); he’s 4 and she’s 5.

And I know what you mean—having pets around really does have an effect on people. I love it! :)

animal shelters

Are so depressing to see the dogs and cats trapped there. Most are so desperate for attention, but there’s so many that it’s impossible to find homes for all of them. This really makes me happy when someone can save a couple from the terrible inevitability there. So many people buy pets from stores all the time, more people should go to the shelters and adopt like you.

I completely agree. I wish more people went to the shelters—there really are so many animals there that would make wonderful pets.

How about some cats from Hawaii?

My friend Barbara is looking for a good home for some new kitties that will have to go back to the animal shelter soon.

ps I am not choking the kittie, :)

So cute! :)

I wish I could have more, but unfortunately the limit at the place I live right now is 2.

Good for you for being able to

adopt an older cats from a shelter. I wish there were more like you out there. I belong to a rescue network and it just breaks my heart the amount of cats and dogs that need new homes. Unfortunately cats in the age range that you adopted can be very hard to place. Hats off to you for adopting them. :o)

Nicole has gotten 21 cheers on this entry.
