NinaWills is Echo and mourns the end of Dollhouse.

figure out why I get so depressed sometimes (read all 5 entries…)
I've been well 3 years ago

And I give credit to Stephen Covey’s 7 habits.. really, I did’t realize something as simple as “Be Proactive” can be so powerful. I feel more in control of myself, and I am doing alright carrying my own emotional weather.. of course it is far from ideal, but I don’t feel as depressed now. Quite the opposite really, even with my schedule going to hell and back, I’m keeping it cool.. I do the best I can and at the end of the day I tell myself I’ve done good. And now I should catch some sleep coz tomorrow is gonna be yet another brand new day!

hope you have a good rest.

funny thing we have the same books. I have “Seven Habits” too and also covey’s “first things first”. Just that title is inspiring at times :)

Hey Chitra..

We seem to have the same taste in books :) I’m currently reading Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go.. very compulsive reading, I read it before bedtime and so far I can’t put it down before 1AM.. hehe.. have to force myself to put it away in order to get some sleep. Have you read it yet?

Btw, re Covey’s 7 Habits.. I don’t own the book, nor have I read it. I kinda cheated and bought a cassette @ audio book and listen to it in my car. I love Covey’s style of delivery, very expressive and very effective. The CD’s out too, but a bit pricey over here. I wanna get the audiobook to “First Things First” next, I have one CD but not on the content, but more on short quotes on daily reflection on how to live “First Things First”. I think I learn best while listening and my investment in audio books is paying off quite well.

Thanks for the comment Chitra, hope all is well with your world.. :)

Wonderful Nina :)

You’ve reminded me that I really need to read this book – I’ve heard about the 7 habits so many times but have never picked it up.

You won't be disappointed Ume

Tho I didn’t pick up the book, I had the good fortune to listen to a short talk on Covey’s 7 Habits recently, and it’s been a real wake-up call! I find that I am much better at handling problems and others’ expectations.. and especially handling my own moods and self-talk. I shared the tape with my HR Manager (a good friend of mine) and he suggested that I claim the cost and pass the items off for company-wide usage. I do believe this is something worthwhile, sharing ideas and sources of inspiration. I’m looking fwd to picking up Covey’s other works and exploring others such as Anothony Robbins as well. I admit, I’m some kind of a self-help junkie.. judging from the books I have on this topic (and now expanding to tapes & CDs!) but I realize I’m responsible for my own morale and self-talk.. and if I don’t get the right input, it’s hard not to churn out bad output! :)

Let me know if you do get around to the 7 Habits book! Cheers to you Ume!
