Okay, so I curiously managed to completely forget about this goal and my bid to lose 20 pounds before my honeymoon. The wedding came and went and I looked gorgeous, in a beached whale type way …. I felt fantastic and beautiful at the time but I really don’t like the photos, I’m HUGE! And we went to Africa on honeymoon and i did the canoeing (and nearly got eaten by a crocodile!) and the elephant-back safari – but they showed a DVD of the ride at the end and again, I just looked so hideously hugely fat that we didn’t buy it.
So now I am adamant that I’m not only going to lose 20 pounds but a lot more – in fact, 4 stone would be nice. I joined Slimming World on Monday and am finding the Food Optimising eating plan really easy to stick to so far – so far I’ve had loads of salad and pasta and a massive jacket potato and beans and even a can of beer …. obviously I don’t know if I’ve lost anything yet (and my scales at home are dreadfully inaccurate so I’m not going to bother weighing myself here) but I’m determined that I am going to make this work.
