Hi!
I would suggest performing in any regional shows or even recitals with your class. Get on stage as much as possible, and get comfortable.
Check out local shows in clubs/ restaurants and see what the style is in your area. What type of dancer is in demand? Are there “open mike” nights, where you can dance for a few minutes on stage. some clubs have that, to encourage new dancers.
Form a troupe with like minded dancers.
Study with someone who performs professionally, currently.
Join your local BD association.
