as of late. Circumstances have changed my pattern of thinking that every little thing is so very serious! Nope, no more! Breaking out of the mold. Life is a lark. I would very much like to laugh more, to joke more, to smile more… and doggggoneit, I will!

what’s a lark?
Larks ascend
I’m feeling quite lark-like this evening. I don’t know why. Every now and then I feel like a lark, but most of the time I’m far too serious.
Perhaps I should join you in this goal?
So what techniques do you employ to bring out your inner lark?

I laugh a lot… I joke a lot… Serious is off of my plate for at least a month. I’ll have a glass of wine. I’ll take a walk in my field.
I’ll pick a flower and look at it, I mean really look at it, the bottom, the outside, the stem, the leaves. I watch the clouds, I watch the butterflies. Birds are my favorite things right now. I chat on the phone. I paint. I laugh some more.
I spend time with kids, my friends kids to be exact. I get on their level and play. Tickle fixes are always good.
I go to the bathroom mirror and make the silliest faces as I did as a kid and laugh some more.
I read a good book. Twenty books. I listen to music that empathizes with my mood (right now Jesse Cook, check him out).
I eat good food and junk food when I feel like it. Frozen pop cycles are currently stocked in the fridge.
I prank call my mom until she laughs.
I sing… loud. At least in the shower and in the car… when no one else is around.
I wave at strangers and smile at babies.
Yep… that’s what I do.
