Got up fairly early and cut as many branches as I could reach with the reciprical saw and the new “ugly” blade that cut like butter. Eventually, I had to call for my son to get the higher branches. He cut a lot down and then into firewood logs and a lot to the pile of stuff to be burned. Too much trouble to chop this all up for compost and those damn bark beetles had drilled a zillion holes in those pines- Cypress, I think.
The rototiller is not running smoothly and is making me really, really angry and frustrated. There is NO money right now for plants, so progress can only be made in the clearing and cleaning area. With just over an acre and one half that has been mostly untended, there is lots to do.
