A solid 9 days after the original Dance Front dancing extravaganza, yet another amazing eve was had by several of the founding members of the dance front.
twas The Bon Savants (and others) compilation cd release show, and madaleine weber, one of the four strong pillars of dance, took the opportunity to interview the band for her fake journalism assignment for a class. the band appreciated her earnest, knowledgeable style, and responded openly. Tom Savant describes the boston indie scene as “Stoic.”
maddy and this reporter then surveyed the scene, glancing at the door every few moments in hopes of catching the arrival of the smallest, most flamboyant member of The Dance Front: Jesse! they were sipping some water (free, legal hydration) when he pranced in, ready to dance.
The Plain Janes then played a set, during which The Dance Front bopped and boogied like mad, and was rewarded with 3 of the band’s t-shirts thrown from above and a “Thanks for Dancing!” from the lead singer. some slightly inebriated women managed to join in the fun at jesse’s coercion, but the crowd consisted mainly of Indie Salutes and/or head boppers.
Between the Plain Jane’s and The Bon Savants, certain members of The Dance Front conversed with members of the Bon Savants, who promised to “Bring the Rock” at the request of this Dance Front member.
They Most Certainly Brought The Rock!!
