I was working with a woman who lived in NY on a childrens book project. It was about OCD. I hadn’t heard from her in a coulple of months when her boyfriend called and told me she had been killed by walking over a metal plate in the street that had some high voltage wires touching it from underneith. Her father has called me and may want to finish out the project in her memory.
This is a terribly sad story, and left my heart feeling heavy ,.... but I think her father’s idea of finishing the project she started is a beautiful way of remembering the woman she was, fulling the dreams she had , and acknowledging the work she had already done. Playing a part in seeing it’s completion through to the end , would be a fulfilling and noble thing to do , and would give much peace to the family left behind.
Her father has taken on this project now and he has contacted me a few times. I have told him that I am ready to finish out this project whenever he wants to. I think the only hold up on this is the emotions that her father must deal with in order to move forward. I don’t feel like I can push him on this, he can only do it when he is ready.
