move out of my parents' house

OK here’s the deal: I was in a really bad relationship about 6 months ago and even though I am 22 years old, I moved back into my parents house. I know, I know, I sound like a loser and a spoiled brat, but I honestly don’t care. If they had not let me move back when they did, I would be dead by now. This is actually the best time of my life! I had the courage and the means to go back to school to learn something that I love and I am fortunate enough to be able to stay with them until I finish school. I am glad that they are letting me do this, but I really need my own space!

Your situation doesn’t make you sound like a loser at all. In fact, I admire your courage. Sometimes life doesn’t work out the way we want it to and we end up needing a bit of help and support from our friends and family. It’s not always easy to ask for that help either. All I can say is, way to go on making such a major life decision and I hope everything works out well for you!

That encouragement is greatly appreciated. It is hard to keep going at this pace sometimes, (with school and 2 jobs) but it is supportive people like you that keep me going! Thanks so much!
