I keep thinking, “When I lose weight, I’ll hold my head up and look people in the eye again.” “Maybe when I get my teeth whitened again, I’ll invite people over to my place again.” I’ve been gradually drawing in over the past several years for various reasons…and not taking good care of myself or my body. But maybe I’m doing this backwards. Maybe instead of waiting for my body to be different to feel better about myself, maybe I need to start treating myself better and liking myself better first.
