live in Paris (read all 2 entries…)
Got a job, just need a place to live... 3 years ago

I’ve finally found a job working in Paris – I start on the 7th August as a web designer! I’m stoked at the prospect of fulfilling this dream I’ve had for so long :)

All I need to do now is a find a place to live…

I’ve got to work here in England until 28th July, and so I’ll bring over a backpack on the 29th or 30th. Although I think it will be hard to find a place as Paris empties for August. Ack.

I can’t wait to make the city my home, though!

How long will you be in Paris? How did you get your job? I’m American and would love to live in France. I’m a professional freelance writer. Have you met other American writers there who are making their living as writers in France?

I’m moving there indefinitely; not sure exactly how long I’ll live in the city, but probably at least a couple of years.

I found the job via Craigslist (http://paris.craigslist.org) but there are a load of French job websites out there…

As for the writers, I haven’t moved there yet (leave at the end of July) so I haven’t yet I’m afraid…

Good luck finding something!

I’ve got a few things I’m looking at for an apartment, just over a week until I start my job, and I fly out on Monday…

I can’t wait!

Once I’m settled, and if you’re free one day, maybe you could show me some good ‘locals’ places to hang out?
