About 3 months ago, I gave up fast food. I love fast food. I haven’t seen the movie Super Size Me yet, but I’m betting that I’ll get hungry for a double cheeseburger and fries while watching the movie—which isn’t normal. My culinaryinspiredfriends, probably find this disturbing. I haven’t lost a single pound since I first posted this goal, but the good news is that I haven’t gained any either. I also feel better about myself since I haven’t been eating such crappy food. I’ve been doing a lot more cycling and mountain biking since then, so my excuse is that I’m converting fat into muscle, heh.
I’m also reading Fast Food Nation which should also provide additional motivation to stay away from fast food. If you haven’t read that book, I highly recommend it. It’s a bit disturbing, but enlightening nonetheless.
The only caveat to my desire to lose 15 pounds is that I must lose the weight without removing good beer from my daily regimen. A man must have his priorities. ;-)
