However, not only for listening to some of my old Pet Shop Boys CDs (and ripping them to mp3 files) but also inspiring me to rip other CDs, especially ones from the same timeframe, like Erasure…

Yes

if you have Real Player installed (the free version), you can listen to 30 seconds clips on Amazon, such as:

I wish the clips would at least contain the chorus of the song…

By the way, I hope you’re not saying you’re too young to remember the Pet Shop Boys. That would make me feel really old!!!!
