You’re absolutely right again about “the vibe”. I think it’s one of (or maybe the most) trickiest part of the equation. “Friendliness” generally refers to someone, a person, not a place or a group in general. But nowadays you can associate something to anything… Some people’d say “Micro$oft sucks!” no matter if the guys at Micro$oft are actually nice & friendly. How you say Friendster? How you say 43Things?

I’m not sure, I’m not an expert on communities… But I’m definitely interested.

I get so pissed with people who run places where the customer is treated like sh*t.

I know one place that is similar but it is a private club, and it all about setting standards from the owner to the 15 year old trainee waitresses. They all got a “service mentality” and ya know how they interview ? Not based on skills but if people care about people. They look for people who have stories to tell, who have passion etc etc. It so so cool.

So you get out there n set this place up and I’ll bring all my mates in to play.
