My family hasn’t exactly accepted the person who I have grown up to be. I can’t imagine what more I can do for them. I moved out at 17, went to college (and paid for all of it), have my own apartment, have kept a long lasting relationship, got a 3.7 for my first year at college, was accepted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, work full time, and did all that while I was in and out of hospitals all year for numerous surgeries and infections in/on my knee.

They have had issues with Gabe since we started dating, most of which were assumptions…not facts. They have chosen to not be happy for me or the life I am living. I just hope that some day they will be, because I am done trying to impress them and hopefully one day they will stop wishing I was someone else.
