How to get a tattoo
How I did it: I've been wanting a tattoo ever since I was 15 years old.
Then, eventually, a few years ago I decided that the only way to get a tattoo was to go and see a tattoo artist.
One would think that, after 15 years of dreaming and planning, I would have chosen the design of my dream. No. I went there totally unprepared, with the vague idea of getting a big cat tattooed. After looking at several designs, I chose a panther and decided to be tattoed on my bottom.
I now have this tattoo, I am not sure I like the design anymore, I am toying with the idea of having it removed or changed.
But I guess I will let it be, after all: the only really good thing is that I have chosen a very descreet place to have tattoed and, after my change of hearth, it's good not to be able to look at it every day! :-)
Lessons & tips:
- Don't do it on a whim: consider that a tattoo will stay there forever.
- If you decide to go for it, take plenty of time to choose a design you really really like.
- Do not tattoo a place that is exposed often: most employers do not appreciate body art.
