How I did it: I put away $250 per week into a savings account and made SURE that I didn't spent it - I figured that if I made certain I didn't spent the money at all I would have my overdraft paid off within a month. It worked
Lessons & tips: I made the mistake of making my savings account accessible on my atm card as well as on my internet banking - so I could easily transfer funds.

That’s a really big achievement! I also put money into savings at the beginning of the month so I won’t spend it. You know, I couldn’t even say what I used to spend it on :P

I have way less money per week than I used to have (before I started saving) – but I’m not really missing anything.
I think most of it went on food I really didn’t need :P
