How I did it: Made it my goal, extended the goal and maintained focus. There is $300/hr involved in legal fees, you'd better have your shit together.

The fact is, this is just a step in a long process, hopefully to avoid the black hole called court that serves no one, in particular the kids.

Lessons & tips:

• Pay attention to detail
• Think strategically, not tactically: this is for the long term, your future for you and your kids
• Review and get some help from people who might have been through it before (or in my case, someone who happens to be a lawyer too...)
