How to study abroad
"Amazing. Enthralling. Uplifting. Encouraging."
How I did it: I was patient. I changed myself and my views and how I looked at the world.
I was supposed to go to Mexico, but on April 5th I got an email saying the trip was cancelled. I freaked out, of course and instantly began contacting other Spanish study abroad programs, because if I didn't go, I'd graduate late.
Spain was the most available and easy to get in to, as well as the only program offering the class I needed. I was angry at first and disappointed but I tried to be as open and grateful as possible, which was hard.
Luckily for me, I had enough money saved and in the stock market to afford this. I won't even say how much I had to spend because its truly ridiculous. (The pains of going to a private university).
Lessons & tips: Be patient.
Be open.
Be flexible.
Resources: - University programs
- Family support
- Friend support
