How to pick up an instrument again
"Made me feel good to be creative with the thing I love most."
How I did it: This past Spring semester I only had 10 hours of credit that I needed to take. That left 2 hours for me to be a full time student.
For a few years I've always had my eye on the beginning guitar course and guess how many hours it was: 2! Since I was getting to register early because of my dean's list status, I knew I'd be able to finally get a spot. (this class fills up instantly- 3 sections, 15 people a section).
I signed up and brought my acoustic guitar down to Waco with me. The class started off very basically, as I expected but I did learn how to read musical notation for the guitar as well as how to read strumming patterns. I already knew chords and TAB so that was no biggie.
Lessons & tips: Be patient and persistent!
Invest your time in something you really want to do
If you arent musically inclined, dont do it, youll hate it!
Resources: nothin'
