How I did it: I looked at the budget, got support from my spouse, and figured out what I needed to do to pursue being my own boss instead of workin' for the man! I'm doing a little contracting, and exploring potential new projects and products, including working on the designs for several new jewelry lines, launching a blog and podcast with my best friend, and spending a little time every day involved in a creative activity such as painting or writing.
