How to dye my hair a crazy color

It's so... Blue! 
"Blue hair is so much fun!"
How I did it: My friend is a hair stylist, so i had her come over to my boyfriend's basement. We bleached my hair, then we dyed it blue, and then we decided to cut it really short.
The change was pretty drastic, so I was pretty shocked at first. It took me a couple days to get used to, but after that I absolutely loved it.
Lessons & tips: Vaseline. Latex gloves.
...That sounds a little wrong. Just use protection ...so you don't dye your skin, I mean.
And if you plan to cut your hair as well, it's more cost-effective to cut it beforehand so you don't waste all your dye on hair that's just gonna end up in the garbage.
