How to practise tablet weaving
"Interesting but fiddley to begin with!"
How I did it: I was taught to tablet weave by a lovely lady at "History Boot Camp" this year and I enjoyed it so much that I vowed to start doing it regularly myself as it's so beautiful and simple once you know what you're doing!
I practised for a fair while and have taught it to 28 children so now I'm confident enough at tablet weaving to tick this off my list :D (Of course I'm going to carry on with the weaving though as I need to make the braids for my dress now I've made that!)
Lessons & tips:
- Always keep track of which way you're turning the tablets
- And how many turns you've done
- Learn from a person if you can - it's SO much easier than from a book!
