How to write music
How I did it: I recorded bits and pieces of song that would pop into my head, then take time to sit in front of the piano to put it all together. It really helped to record and listen back to what I had written as I went!
Lessons & tips: When you think of a line or piece of a song, write it down, record it on your phone, whatever's convenient. Then take time to play it on your instrument or whatever, so you can really start brainstorming. Don't just sit down and try to write a whole song - it will come piece by piece - just write down everything that comes to you or you will forget!
