How I did it: I searched online for the best volunteer organization I could find that seemed like the best fit for me.   I searched for organizations using key words that described what I was looking for from an organization.
This is something I had been wanting to do for a LONG time, and unfortunately it took loosing some wonderful people in my life to make this a priority.   But I'm so glad I'm doing it now!

Lessons & tips: The organization I found allows each member to volunteer as much as they
want, when ever they want...whatever works best for their schedule.  There is a HUGE variety
of activities / types of work to choose from. 

Resources: The internet!  Google!  Search for volunteer organizations using key words that describe what you're looking for from an organization.  Do they have a religious affiliation?  Are they a medical relief group?  Do they work primarily with children?  There are many ways to find the perfect match for you!
