How to play on a slip-and-slide
How I did it: I went to a pool party with my son. He doesn't swim well, and I stayed to keep an eye on him. They had a slip and slide, which the boys played on after swimming in the pool. I watched hours of commercials for the slip and slide as a boy and I always wanted one. I actually got to slide on it.
Lessons & tips: It's basically a long sheet of plastic with a hose down the side of it that sprays water. At the foot of the slip and slide is a plastic inflatable semi circle that you blow up.
It is really slippery. You will slide like crazy.
Slide at the start of it. No one wanted to go down the slip and slide at the beginning. My son volunteered and ran down the slip and slide. At the end of it he slipped and landed on his butt.
Expect grass to stick to your body as you slide. I was covered with mulch. It falls off on your next slide, but then more takes its place.
The blow up ring at the end of the slip and slide does not stop you. It's more of a speed bump, and not terribly effective.
Put it on a hill. Gravity will help you go faster.
They don't look too sturdy. I doubt they'll last a season.
You will have a great time.
