How to buy a House
It made me 
"saved enough for to buy a house instead of a condo"
How I did it: i moved in with my in-laws for a year. the price we paid in rent and utilities is all we needed to save for a house!
location is important too... if looking to buy in the ny area there are bungalows by the water that are cheaper and surprisingly lower in taxes... ny is probably the only state that has waterfront property that is worth far less than it should be.
Lessons & tips: get a mortgage broker... its like having a wedding planner. makes the process so much easier and more achievable.
