How to meditate daily
How I did it: It took me quite a few months (almost a year, now!) to get into a habit of mediating everyday. And that was only after I got the hang of meditation in the first place.
I tried different methods out, with varying degrees of success and found that simple was the best for me. I meditate best sitting outside and just listening to the wind in the trees.
When I can't meditate outside, I find a quiet spot and usually play white noise or brown noise to give my ears something to do, and let my mind wander until it is finally at rest, or as rested as it gets.
I do it at night, every night, after I shut down the computer and television, brush my teeth and all the other little rituals we do before bed. I also try not to meditate in bed. I want a specific line between sleep space and meditation space.
