"think about the smaller things in life."
How I did it: I am a naturally pessimistic person but I've learned that just because I expect the worst, doesn't mean I can't enjoy the what life has to offer.
It started with just one random day while I was staring out my window and I caught my dog scratching itself. Now, most people hear this and think, "so? your dog scratches itself..." I would feel the same way except for some reason, every time I catch him scratching himself while balancing on his other three legs makes me smile.
From then on, I find something that makes me happy everyday. How the existence of double-sided tape speeds up projects. How tree rings can tell you the age of a tree. How frozen Jello can be refreshing on a hot summer day.
Think of the smaller things.
Lessons & tips: Just think of what makes you happy. Anything. You'll quickly see that the little things add up.
