This was really helpful
Thanks for posting this – I’m going to try these things
How I did it: This goal got me in 43T. I didn't like how messed up my work and time was. I always knew I could do better. I had to work harder...i had to learn how to focus... so, what i did...
- Always be physically conditioned for the day. Made sure that I had enough sleep, ate well, etc. Helps the body move 'round and about and keeps the mind alert and retentive.
- Think of happy thoughts. A happy heart can make a difference. Try to work while in a depressed mode... you'll definitely find yourself having silent seizure often.
- I had my goal tattooed in mind. Knowing and wanting your goal so bad will push you extra harder to work for it.
- Made a to-do list a night before. This will keep you in track, makes you not forget things, saves time.
- Reward system. This part I love. Doing well at anything is a boost to the confidence, plus when the bosses notice, Hurray!!! They'll slowly have their confidence in you too. So, celebrate! Buy a frappucino or get a pedicure... it'll make you twice as happy.
Lessons & tips: Be patient with yourself...sometimes things can be frustrating esp when you're trying your best to focus, yet your attention still deviates to something else. Just always be at your best. Know that you can do well. Ask questions if you must. Learn from your mistakes and other people's mistakes. Be very keen.
I think focusing is an art mastered through practice. If you do this everyday, it'll eventually become a daily thing...achieved effortlessly and subconsciously.
Focusing gets more things done, and the quality of your work becomes really good. Self-satisfaction and self-confidence will be appraised. A lot of benefits.
But don't forget to have fun while doing it. Dont be the Ms. Dont-disturb-me-lets-not-talk-im-concentrating attitude, else, life would be sooo focusedly gloomy and boring. Who wants that???
